Mimi Marrello

Mimi Marrello

Senior Family Law Lawyer
Embrun, Ontario, Canada

I have focused my practice on family law throughout my career. I am a graduate of the University of Ottawa where I obtained a Bac. in Social Science in 1996 and my law degree in 1999.

Through my practice, I assist clients with various family law issues such as custody, access, support, division of property, adoption and fertility issues either by commencing or responding to court actions or assisting clients through the process of negotiation or mediation. While I recognize that an out of court settlement is usually the best outcome for all parties involved, there are some circumstances that require court intervention.

I am a proud French speaking Ontarian. Being fluently bilingual (English and French), I have the ability to represent my clients in both official languages. In addition, I have taught the introductory family law course at the University of Ottawa for many years.

As a lawyer and part-time professor, I am fortunate to be able to pursue my two passions for family law and teaching.

I am a past board member of the Ottawa Family Services a la famille. I am Co-Cahir of the Planning committee for the Annual Family Law Institute Conference held yearly.

Thorough and practical, I pride myself on providing no nonsense advice and representation to my clients. If you are looking for a direct approach to your family law issues, please don't hesitate to get in touch with me.
